An unbelieveably unstartling commencement to the season......

2 qualifiers - First was RO, 2nd took me back to 6 (5.5)
Missed a Medal yesterday to go to Wentworth but there's a Stableford next week.
But given that I've yet to play to my handicap this year there's a better than even chance of reaching 5.6 before the month is out....
The state of my game is summed up by the phrase "Sublime to the Ridiculous"
I'll play 3 or 4 holes like a Scratch player, then the next 3 like a 28'er. Or I'll play bogey golf for 10 holes and then par in....
Inconsistently inconsistent.

Third in Mid week stableford which got me to 5.8 and two wins in the Fiddle, £42 to the good .

One loss and one win in club matches.

In bounce games had best round of + 2 gross and three +3 gross in May, so well happy

Another buffer for me today, so that's 2 x cuts, 2 x 0.1's and 2 x buffers. I wonder which one will break the trend on Saturday :mmm:

Decided to give it a real go this year and started really well, scoring 46 points in a midweek comp in February, followed by a win in a medal the following weekend. Handicap cut from 14 to 11.8. Also playing in the Essex Tour on lots of different courses and in 5 events have placed mid-table, 2nd from bottom, 1st, mid-table, 2nd from bottom - horribly inconsistent but a trend towards the lower placings developing sadly.

Won a few club medals and stablefords in April and have been cut to 9.7 but then gave 0.1 x 3 back to leave me at my current 10.0. Playing my best ever golf for about 14 holes per round and then throwing it away on 4 holes.

Perfect record in the Summer Matchplay Competitions at our club - played 3, lost 3 (all on the 18th, having never been behind since the 3rd). I feel as though I need to believe in myself as a single figure golfer as I think I flatter to deceive and thus it's a mental block.

Still aiming for Cat 1 by the end of the year but really understand how difficult this will be. Praying for some sunshine as well...

5 x buffer 3 x 0.1 and 5 cuts totaling either 1.3 or 1.5 combined cut so far this season. Played away a few times with interclub comps so much that I haven't played at my own course in nearly a month That's all finished with now though so will work at getting the remaining half a shot off to get to single figures and then hopefully down further to 8 possibly 7

Will be looking at playing a few junior scratch cups if I can get down in time at a few different course but will certainly be playing a few more courses throughout the summer (don't worry smange we will manage to sort something out )
