Morning all

When Paul O'H and I were out at the PGA Merchandise Show last month we got a preview of Titleist's new balls for 2012 (see the video here)

On Monday I'll be attending the official UK launch of the Titleist's new ball line-up for 2012 and we'd like some questions from the forum to put to two of Titleist's top ball experts who are across from the US - Bill Morgan and Mary Lou Bohn - who will be running us through the Titleist ball range for 2012 (below) that includes four new golf ball models NXT Tour, NXT Tour S, Velocity and DT SoLo.

If your question is one we select to ask you'll get a dozen Titleist's from the 2012 range - you can find out the best one for your game by going through the Titleist's online ball fitting process www.titleist.co.uk/ballfitting

Just post your golf ball questions below - it could be about one of the new models in the range, or about golf ball technology in general.

I believe many people are using the wrong ball for their game. What can Titliest do to show that people should look at the ball they choose as much as the driver/irons they use to get improvement in their scores.

For instance have they thought about providing packs of a dozen balls, but containing different sleeves, so that people can experience each ball without having to buy buy a dozen at a time.

What is the view of Titliest in the "changing the ball" discussion to rein in the distances that pros achieve in today's modern game?

Do you think that imposing limits on the ball will enhance or detract from the pleasure (or pain!) that most amatures get from the game and will it have any significant effect on the elite level players?

Think this was mentioned the other day.

Is there a shelf life to a golf ball? For those who stockpile multiple boxes is there any loss in performance over time?

Do you think there will come a time when there is no technological advancement possible and what would you do to move forward in that case.

Do you not think that the number of balls in the Titleist family is creating confusion to golfers and consider making a range of around five balls that progressively change in their spin and feel characteristics.

To what extent do the Rules regarding balls limit what is actually achievable in terms of distance? If there were no restrictions on the ball what sort of distances could the tour pros and the average golfer be able to achieve?

Many players don't pay enough attention to which ball suits their actual swing and play whatever balls are available at the shop before they play. Just how important is choosing the correct ball from the Titleist range to the amateur player? What could the consequences be if you played the 'wrong' type of ball?

Increase in distance has been the key ball development over recent years, driven by demand from players at all levels, but many would argue that it's ruining the game and making older courses no more than drive and pitch layouts, or requiring massive investment to lengthen them and often lose their original character.
What is your veiw on this? Should we take some distance off the ball?

Watching a 'What's in your bag feature' the Worlds #1 Luke Donald was asked what ball he used. His reply was the 05 Pro V1 obviously these aren't available for the general public anymore but have Titleist any plans to launch say a retro range and showcasing the 05 model? With the publicity he's given it sure that would be worth a few quid?

The Titleist ball is synonymous with quality in performance, but is equally synonymous with colour fading and scuff marks very quickly into a round. Many golfers, including me, very recently changed ball purely for that reason.
What have Titleist done to improve the white colour retention and longevity of the new range of balls particularly in the ProV family?

What plans do they have to retain their #1 ball status, they must recognise increasing competetion from the likes of Srixon and Bridgestone, which can often be bought for less money. Should they be availble at a more competetive price?

We've seen another major ball manufacturer release a ball this year made of a different material (Nike RZN). Are Titleist looking at alternatives to rubber to boost ball performance?
