Your Favourite Player? Why?

Old School - Ben Hogan, could watch clips of him swinging all day long, how its meant to be done, poetry in motion.

Current - Kaymer for his control, complete game and all round class, something Tiger will never have.

Would also have to say Sergio, similar ages and feel like I grew up watching him. Would love to see a Westwood style comeback topped off with a major.

Re: SYour Favourite Player? Why?

Rory McIlroy for me, love watching him play really find him easy to support.

close second for personality and those crazy flops and wedges its got to be big Phil.

Re: SYour Favourite Player? Why?

Used to like nick price growing up, probably due to watching the open on tv when i was a kid.

Ernie is my all time favourite though, could watch him play golf all day, just looks so relaxed.

Newbies, kaymer probably.

Another vote for Bubba out of the current crop. Fun to watch and bonkers as a bag of squirrels.

From the oldies, Greg Norman.

Norman was the dogs bollocks, flair and charisma by the bucketload.

Current crop, Woods, Rory, Bubba, Dustin, and like Craw I am coming round the Poulter, used to think he was a cock but I like his drive and determination.

Luke for me too, the guy plays sublime golf, always looks great on the course, very well dressed, he proves you do not need to smash it out of the park to be successfull. I hope he can get a major in the cabinet soon.

With all this talk of not smashing it out of the park where does Monty come in all this??

Luke gets it out there. It's a misconception that he is short. Dustin, JB, Bubba and Quiros make everyone look short not just Donald.

I love watching him play but his bunker play is the only thing I would single out as stunning.

Colin dominated the European tour and even though he didn't win a 'big one' played some of the best and most consistant golf the world has seen.
I remember rooting for his on many occasions.

If your looking for a short hitter to idolise maybe Corey Pavin is a better shout.

Current favourites - Rory Mc. What a fantastic swing and no holds barred play (sometimes works out, sometimes doesn't).

Also quite like to watch Rickie Fowler. Love the unusual swing, but prefer not to see his hideous orange Sunday outfit.

Past favourites include Nicklaus and Seve, of course, Johnny Miller, Jerry Pate and Lee Trevino.

Seve. Because he was absolutely fantastic to watch.

Other favourites include; Woosie, Westwood, Ollie, Els, Trevino and Garcia.

Of the old school, Sam Snead and Big Jack.

Cheers,

Snelly.

Current crop of players, I'd say Luke Donald is well worth watching.

Of players past, I'd have to go with Sandy Lyle. When he was at the top of his game there was no better ball striker. Good to see him in the winners circle again.

Currently, I love watching GMac. His composure is just frightening but an inspiration too.

All time? Has to be Jack. Pure class in every sense.

Not seen him much recently, but I always enjoy watching Angel Cabrera play. Love his swing and the power he puts behind the ball - really enjoyed his Masters win.

Miguel Angel Jimenez for me. Loves his smokes and his wine, it pretty unflappable (ignoring his broken putter a few weeks ago ;) ) and is still winning at 48 years old.

Am I allowed two?

Freddie Couples for being such a cool customer on the golf course. His swing is a perfect reflection of his demeanor.

Luke Donald for all the reasons already stated. If I could have anything in golf it would be his short game.
