too many of the quoted films are just standard film scores... i.e music composed to match the scene, you wouldn't really listen to it any other time.

Quadrophenia - The Who.

Tommy - The Who (ok, technically not the soundtrack but they sing the songs in the film).

The Lost Boys is pretty good too.

24 Hour Party People was also a good soundtrack.

As was Kevin and Perry go large (bit of a clubber/raver in my day).

But Quadrophenia is the clear winner.

It is essentially a 1995 technogimmick film so has to be taken in that context these days but what a seminal 90's dance legends soundtrack.
