Dug out my old persimmon three wood at Christmas. Present from my parents form my 18th. Still a lovey looking club despite the miniscule head. Got me thinking about how a set of these made to modern sizing and performance restrictions would play

Edited in the RBZ 3 wood. Yes I am very pleased with them, used Mizuno irons and fairways previously but changed to the current setup after a fitting last year.

Been thinking about this and it's hard. A lovely set of classic MacGregor blades would be in there, Mizuno MP68 or 69 and Titleist MBs of some kind - always liked the ZM's with the zig-zag (lightenting flash) back

If I could have any recent/current set custom fitted for me however I would probably plump for a set of MP63's.

I don't think there is a better looking set of irons than the Mizuno PM4s. Beautiful modern classic blades. Add the right shaft and a nice set of 3Gen grips and that would be a fine set.

The new Taylor Made MB blades don't look bad either.
