What was your mag as a young un ?

some football magazine with the pull out centre page of their football star of the week.

Was fine at the timet but when I was older and looking back it seemed a little strange having a room full of posters of men blue-tacked to the wall

lord peter flint(aka warlord)used to be in warlord comic:Dloved comics as a kid..battle,action,warlord,tiger,hotspur even 2000ad when it first came out...ah memories of youth:D

2000AD for me, I bought lots of other comics on and off but 2000AD was the first that I ordered at the newsagents. Still read it now.

The Little Story Teller. Featured magic hamsters called Morris and Dorris. Loved listening to the tapes at night going to sleep when I was a nipper. Probably explains why I have real trouble sleeping in silince now.

As a kid always got shoot and match football magazines, every Wednesday my mam would go shopping and get us them.

The 7 stages of magazines for me:-

Early years - Whizzer and chips, Beano, Dandy, Topper.

Moved on to roy of the rovers, Tiger, Commando magazines and the Victor (I thought I could speak German, with words like schweinhund, achtung, obserstamfuhrer etc.).

Shoot and the match in the early teens.

Given my first fiesta by a cousin at 11 (prit-sticked lots of pictures from the Fiesta into the shoot magazine, instead of having to hide it). At least I think it was prit-stick. Many years of these.

History today and BBC history magazine for when into your thirties.

Golf Monthly for 10 years, I reckon, until the 81st article on longer straighter drives means I move on again.

Comfy cardigans for bowlers is due to kick in when I'm 60.

Remember Alf tupper? He'd eat a fish supper then run up mount Kilimanjaro!!!
