You cant have too many balls!

Use them or sell them. They don't last indefinately. I have about 100, and that is way too many. 288 is more than most proshops. There are alsoway too many types, so I am with Birdieman, narrow it down, and sell what you don't want.

Good feedback gents.

Really interested in the comment of a ball having a certain shelf life. The Nike Distance balls that i have I got from JJB about 3 yrs ago when I was playing about 5/6 times a year, yet I played with one of these a week ago on our par 5 and hit the drive 266yrds and a 3 wood onto the green and putted for an eagle! It didnt seem to lose much performance to me, but to the trained eye.....

My thoughts are to use the Nike Juice, Warbirds and other distance balls for the next couple of months then crack open the premium balls, but may sell a few also depending on the answer to the above question on shelf life!

Just curious here, why do people buy the balls they use. Is it value for money or performance ? Or do you just buy what tales your fancy when your in the shop.

Performance, price irrelevant. Short game control is key to scoring at lower handicap level and a mid range ball wont behave like a premium ball around the greens when they are hard and quick in summer.
Winter time any old ball will do, they'll all stick in soft temps.

Performance for me,also sound not too clicky but thats trial and error

How do you get on with the Bridgestones?? Am going to give them a trial as they are meant to perform better than prov's at our (relatively) slow swing speeds

I have about 40 Srixon zur-s/pro-v's. They only last a round or so before becoming too chewed up.

There are 4/5 of us at work that split the cost of 250/300 balls from premier lakeballs every few months. They give good bulk discounts on most brands of (even pearl grade pro v's).
