Who's got one? And whats your thoughts? Got mine and personally I love it. Games I've been playing are FIFA 14 and call of duty . Can't wait for EA sports golf game next year

I'll give it till next year for the price to come down and the bugs to be ironed out.

Not compatible and I don't think they will be to be honest, my kinect voice commands are faultless apart from it won't turn off. I've not encountered a lot if problems yet to be honest but they may be around the corner.

Both my brothers got one and one also the PS4. Have yet to get a play with the PS4 but the xbox impressed me. Especially BF4 with 64 players and 60fps. The Kinect appears to work well although I had to laugh the night they got them set up because all you could hear was them shouting various commands at it from different rooms. Interested to see how well developers use it. The head tracking on BF4 is a nice feature for leaning etc but haven't messed with it in depth. The snap function is pretty nice for those with ADHD. Nice to see smart glass finally starting to show it's potential as well with the full screen mini map on BF4. Hope to try the commander function on it.
Only thing I've been able to compare so far between both is the size and controller. PS4 is a lot smaller but this isn't exactly hard. The Xbox controller is a nice improvement although the shoulder buttons aren't as nice as the original everything else is improved. The PS4 controller is a massive improvement on the old design but still doesn't feel nice in my hand so that sort of pushes me down the xbox route.

When I got back into gaming from my Nintendo 64 games the reason I went with Xbox is because of the controller. Your right on shoulder buttons tho. I am streaming my sky live tv through it and have no problems with it either.
Heard good reports on battlefield 4 but might have to rent it first before buying as I am a cod man.

You will have a bit of a wait for an EA Sports golf game - they have dropped Tiger Woods and there is NO game planned now until 2015!!

It never will be, its completely different gaming architecture. Its like putting a PC game into a MAC and expecting it to work unfortunately.
I'm sure there will be plenty of downloads available though, and likely discounted or free downloads if the game is in your history.

Hoping for one for my birthday in a week and a half but my wife was let down on her pre order by Amazon. When she phoned up she was told that her order went in the day after they were guaranteeing release day delivery. She was not happy when they tried to joke about on the phone. Now just hoping that some stock arrives in time. Latest supposed delivery date is the end of the week.

I thought i read somewhere that you could hook the two up together through the HDMI cable but not sure what the point would be
I have heard its so good that it recognizes who is in the room (by previous scan of course) and recommends what to watch and play. Sounds good, but then you think, it must always be on, and always scanning, then relaying that info to MS
Can 'they' 'see' whats happening in your room also

How does it recommend viewing music gaming etc if not from a central server location I wonder, or maybe its all processed in the xbox itself? but it cant do it without being 'online' :mmm:
I believe they will be compiling stats for advertising and targeted sales - what company wouldn't if it could - but I also believe it will be anonymously compiled with no association to accounts

Of course they will. You're getting so much tech for £450...that's significantly cheaper than an iPhone! They need money from somewhere
I've got one and I love it, there are a few bugs but the all of the good things make that acceptable until they release a fix.

Tried that mate still won't do it!! That command seems to be the most common fault
That's a surprise, have you tried going to the settings and re-calibrating the voice part of Kinect again with the TV turned up loud? Mine never fails with on/off.

Would it follow your instructions if you said XBOX GO IN BIN, so many people are slave to these things, whats wrong with people communicating and enjoying each others company. I would rather stick forks in my eyes than talk to a computer. How many people play with their mates when their mates are in another house.
And 2 people in one house owning the same machine, and also a PS4.......... WTF do they not have 2 controllers that can both be used in the same room

Moving house in a few days so will re calibrate then. Worth a shot . Jdb2005 if u want a game cod and FIFA not that great at both haha
