If I was looking at one area for savings at my club I would look at the bar first. We have a Steward, bar staff, cooks and serving staff to handle what is normally no more than a dozen people at a time. My old local pub landlord could serve 3 or 4 times as many people with the aid or one barmaid whilst also serving the food out of the kitchen. Also take into account the fact that most people attending my club should not be able to drink anyway as it is on the A1 so only can be reached by car and you have a big chance for savings. We have a dining area that I have never seen used outside of the occasional club function, we do not have external functions so here is where some cash could be saved or made.
