Valley of sin is the main hazard but these days they take it out of play by smashing it up the left side of the green far enough up so they are not pitching over it to the front flag position.

A great natural hazard that the modern golfer is sadly taking out of play.

This whole discussion is a moot point as the genie was out of the bottle many years ago and the manufacturers will ensure through threat of legal action that the distances wont be reeled back.

This is true at first glance but think a little deeper.

Everything is maxed out to the limit now so manufacturers are only tweaking things trying to find an angle to draw in the buyer.
A new set of equipment rules would open the door to loads of new R&D in order to work round the regulations and would create huge potential for new marketing gimmicks to sucker us hackers.

Manufacturers should be pushing for changes, maybe they are in secret! :eek:

Having just watch Rhambo smash a 10.5 degree Callaway a million miles down the 13th at the Waste Management.....10 degrees ain't gonna work!
