Well assuming I understand the system correctly...

After reading the article in GM this month, I put in a supplementary score today, having registered in the pro shop first and playing the round under "medal conditions"

Managed to shoot a nett 67 (4 under SSS) so hopefully will get a 1.6 cut?

Anyone else using the supplementary score system as well as competitions? From what I understand, you can do 10 a year, even if you have played plenty of competitions?

That ones been brewing for a while. Well played fella and well deserved!!! :D

Thanks mate, hopefully there's a bit more in there yet.

Does anyone else get frustrated in knowing that if you were to "reset" your handicap i.e. put in your initial 3 cards again, where nothing higher than a double counts, you'd probably be off about 5 less than your handicap is at the moment, but you only get to go down in little increments? Does that even make sense?!? :D

Good job FourPutt, you maths seem right to me.

I don't think there is a limit on the number of supplementary cards you can submit anymore, I think that was removed but I might be wrong.

The article in GM said 10. I imagine this is to limit the amount of sandbagging people can do as this way if someone was purposely putting in loads of bad supplementary cards they could only go up 1.0 per year.

Just thought, I have a knockout match tomorrow. I'm assuming I should now play off 22 in that match, even if the adjustment hasn't been carried out by the handicap secretary?
