Entered our mid-week stableford yesterday (off white tees) and got only 30 points (blobbed on 3 holes), yet still won it!!!
only 17 entered and only 5 completed the course as the rain hammered down (luckily my 3 ball went out first and missed the worse of the rain)
SSS is 70 but CSS for day was 72 so I even stayed at 13.4
Anyone out there had a 'worse' win ?

Does your midweek stableford not last all week long? ie people will still be able to play it today??

Ours is one day only.

30 ponts for a win will take some beating.

Ours are normally 43 plus.

Normally 43 plus  You need to get a man in to look at the club computor, I don't think the handicap calculator is working properly

I've won a Stableford with 34 on count-back before.
And the last Midweek Medal I could have returned nett 1000 and I'd still have won as I was the only Div 1 player......

ehhh!! How can the CSS be worked out if competitions are on different days. ??

Strange

This has to make a mockery of CSS doesn't it?
At my last club, Monthly comps were played Saturday aand Sunday. It could be a Hurricane of Sunday but calm on Saturday yet all scores produced 1 CSS..... :D :D

A separate CSS MUST be calculated for each day.

I bet it isn't though.....

Bash you'll do anything to get your name on that order of merit trophy. Don't the polcie do any work anymore. Days off for riding your bike, days off to nick a medal with 30 points. No wonder you handicap has dropped quicker than the FTSE 100 this year. God knows how low you'll be once you retire. Now you've finally come to the dark side and joined the forum get your name down for some of the meets etc

I think mine may take some beating..... :o

I won a mid week medal last year with an N/R!!!!!

It was in the winter, freezing cold and the ground was pretty hard. I was playing in the usual swindle and I entered on the PSI when I got to the club, but when I got to the 1st tee, none of the others had entered.

Someone marked my card, but the conditions weren't really any good for scoring. Got to the 9th hole which is a short par 4 of 326 yds and driveable if the conditions are right.

I hit a good drive, but when I got to the green found that my ball had run through the back and out of bounds due to the hard ground.

We had a group behind us and it was freezing so I N/R'd.

Found out on HDID the next day that no one else at all had entered and I came 1st!!
Got my £3 entry fee back for winning.......... :D

No. We have a monthly stableford and monthly medal at weekends (one on a sat and one on a sun.
We also have a midweek stableford and midweek medal (normally on a thurs and fri each month.
All events you can enter in advance, then when allocated tee-times are filled you are allowed to 'roll-up' if you aren't in the drawn tee times. (all entrants to go out in 3 or 4 balls

I'm afraid Sundance is still storming away with the order of merit at the mo. Reckon I'm gonna have to put on my sheriff's badge and run him out of town !!

Am enjoying reading the forum. It's a great source of info (and entertainment)

Partner him with me, I'll drag him down. Game has gone to pot. You need to get out with some of the guys on here. They are all a great bunch and I'm sure none of them will have seen footwork like yours when you drive the ball
