I'm sat in a traffic jam along side a petrol station and was just wondering.......
When a guy comes back from the kiosk he gets into his car and 5 seconds later he is away. I have noticed during the last 30 minutes that women (not all) spend an eternity to pull away from the pump! Aside from putting their handbags down what is the hold up? there was one guy who was waiting for the pump going nutts at a young girl through his mirrors. Very amusing

Takes them ages as their usual routine goes something like this

Pull visor down and look in mirror, check lipstick, check eye make up, fix hair, push visor up, reach for seatbelt being careful not to break a nail, plug seat belt in, realise they left keys in aforementioned handbag when in paying for petrol, undo seatbelt whilst being careful not to break a nail, reach for handbag and search for keys, find keys, insert keys into ignition, reach for seatbelt being careful not to break a nail, plug seatbelt in, check gear is in neutral, start car, put car into first gear, check mirrors, release handbrake then eventually whilst guy in the car behind is cracking up pull away very slowly.

Obviously this doesn't apply to all female drivers but it does cover a high percentage of them ;)

Right now I've wrote that I'm off to become a member at Muirfield :p

That is why their insurance quotes are always lower than their male counterparts.
The guy waiting is probably getting into such a froth that he will collide with the pump and blow up the station.

You forgot 'Fire the Sat Nav up, so they know where to go'!

Guy's just drive forward in the hope they'll recognise a place name or get lucky!

Another stereotype type thread! How dull!

You're lucky, the one I wait for also tweets and reports on FB that she's just filled up, then checks her mobile phone for texts, then as she drives out of the garage, phones her friends to tell them she's on her way for morning coffee

Last week when I was filling up the woman in the bay beside me paid for her fuel got back in the car and promptly reversed into the car behind her - I couldn't drive away for wiping away the tears of laughter.

God help you if there's a decent shop at the filling station!

Now this is annoying.
If you're also going to do your weekly shop whilst in the filling station, is it so difficult to pull of the pump and park in one of the parking places invariably provided??
This is so ignorant, but that's people today iam afraid.

You talking about women drivers, the winter just gone I was up in the comms room which over looks the car park and witnessed a women trying to park, wasn;t quick enough with the video but got a still of the parking attempt all the same.
