Some pictures I took today from the forum meet.
Some of tee shots and some of approaches. What I have learnt is that although it's point and shoot I must learn the settings properly as some of these don't do the place justice.
The sky was actually blue all day.

I know a few people had cameras so hopefully we can add a few more pics to the thread.

Hmmm... great pics, alright, but I can't agree onyour rating. Marquess, Duchess and the Dukes comes last by a long way! It's got some nice holes on it, but I really didn't find it overly "special".
Played worse on it, admittedly, but that's not the reason (before ScottJD tells you all otherwise!)... just felt it was a bit "meh". 4th hole is lovely, the one with "the black hole" (which you birdied) is good, and 17th is a nicely shaped hole. And that's it.

I did prefer the Marquess although the Dukes experience was clouded by my shocking play and severe fatigue/aching feet.

I would like to play it again but 1st next time when I am feeling a bit fresher

Loved the Marquess. To be honest I was too rough to enjoy the Dukes PM and to be fair would have chopped it round on any course. That said you can really see what a strategic course it is and it isn't really one for bombing blindly. A great day out and hopefully WHEN we go back next year I'll be fighting fit and ready to get my own back on the Dukes in particular

And that hole with the split fairway. Assuming it is a split fairway looks tremedous, which hole and which course is that?

a truly superb hole.....Robs picture no.7 shows our group in the distance......the other 3 went up the right and that's me....norman no mates......up the left.....probably hit my longest drive of the day......managed to hit the green in 2 and left myself an 18 foot eagle putt and walked off with a par...........:angry: visually stunning hole though...

I think I may have got a par (deffo 3 or 4 points I know that ) on there, Left is the best route Rick, Its a tough approach from the right

What happened to Rick's group - posterity demands that his presence is registered in the Ether - i distinctly remember the pic being taken; perhaps you've got a profanity type filter on your lens ?

I think the sun may have been behind us and I did have white trousers on..........well you've seen the Lady Di photo...... I can't blame him for not posting it....

Looks like it was a very good day and a lovely looking course.

Nice to see that Bob's group photo caught Aztec's forehead well! :ears:
