With unlimited funds What uk club would you join

You're probably right mate, Even if (insert club) took some of my unlimited funds I don't think they'd be to happy about having an Ex Plumber from Lancashire on the premises. They may even build a separate clubhouse just for Northerners

You are wrong about Sunningdale and the like. Yes, there is a waiting list but they have all sorts of members. Same at West Hill. All walks of life.

Where I am, the stand-out course is West Sussex although I would also join Piltdown for some lovely summer golf. A country membership at Rye would also be nice for a change during the autumn/winter.

Thats great news as my mate Barry has just moved down to Surrey and he really fancies joining Hankley Common.

He's a cracking lad, but he can get get a bit carried away out on the course, especially if he has a few pints in the clubhouse beforehand

Can you please tell your mate that socks must be white.

Swinley Forest
St Georges Hill
The Berkshire
Sunningdale
The NZ club

Id offer my services to any of those beuts! ;)

Wentworth is not a good members club imo. Very corporate and over priced. Good choice of 3 courses however.

Sums up my attitude too.

Add Bearwood Lakes to that list (as it seems to be closing any gap on 'traditional' ones in the area) - and maybe Country Membership at a Links one for Winter and any/all would be eminently satisfactory.

Queenwood is also not a 'Member's' Club as such.

I am actually disturbed at you searching the Internet for this picture :o

Like some others have said, I am perfectly happy at Blairgowrie and you don't need unlimited funds to be a member. The only other course nearby that I might consider if funds were available would be Gleneagles, but it is hardly a "club".
