Will Rory Win The Open?

If you look at the stats though its mainly Friday but not only Friday.Rorys played the best easily this week and I would like to see him win but I cant say its a forgone conclusion just get.
Ive been watching Fowler in recent Opens and the way he plots he's way around a links course is awesome, if he doesent win this one I'm sure he will get an Open in the future and he'll be my first pick for Troon 2016.

It's never a forgone conclusion for anyone and whilst I think McIlroy will win there is always a chance of something going wrong

Fowler has played well but have also seen him have a mare - he did well today but he is more than capable of having a bad round

For McIlroy to lose he needs to have a bad round whilst someone needs to have a cracker - odds are slim

If the talent at -10 & -9 wasn't so good I think Rory would be well confident but he knows he cant afford one of he's bad rounds with those guys on he's heels.

It's still 6 shots - even if McIlroy plays to par then someone has to have a cracking round and attack the course which is where it could go wrong for them - McIlory can play steady golf and cruise. He looks in control of the tournament and his own game

If it was just a couple of shots I' d say there was a chance of him not winning.
I've seen nothing in his play to suggest he's not going to shoot at worst a par round tomorrow so Fowler has to shoot 65, Garcia and Johnson 64.....
Yeah it's possible but if Rory shoots anything under par then he's won.

I hope and think he will pull it off. Shivas you keep insisting on the talent behind him but Rory is a real talent and already a major winner so why would he throw it away?

Why don't you think he will win the Open when after three rounds he is 6 shots clear ?

Because if he wins the open Shiva will have to eat his words. I ain't a Rory fan but can at least give the guy credit for being an amazing golfer. My heart would like to see Fowler go on a run tomorrow as I love watching him play well.

To be honest Mcilroy is a spoilt brat who struggles to be a man, he conducts himself wrongly and now he has devastated a young woman who is better off without him cos he would have to have consult his family with every issue to do with his marriage and her life would have been hell. The bloke couldnt play golf and handle marriage let alone kids without his parents there wiping his ****.Back in the day when Jack was married with 5 kids he would take them all with him on tour and he was still a champion, Mcilroy would have had everything taken care of nowdays but he still cant handle it, poor lamb....I hope he doesent make the cut at the PGA and drops outside the top 500 and leave elite pro golf to real people.

Cheers for that Bob - can see clearly now the reasons for the negativity -

That is such a bitter post dripping with bile

I think he has the strength and character to follow through tomorrow, it is unchartered territory for Fowler and I don't see DJ getting in the mix.

As for the comments on his personality and ethics, I think we can say at 25 and that much pressure we would all make some rash decisions, any one under that much scrutiny will have negative PR and I doubt any of us will know any % of truth

I hope Shivas is right in his prediction because I've got money on Garcia ;-)

Because I think he hasn't had his bad round yet and the talent queing up behind can drop in a low one.

I don't think he's going to have 'his bad round' either! Though he's certainly capable of one if the wind gets very strong, the way he has played these last few days indicates he's more likely to extend his lead than lose it!
