I know there are hundreds of golf forums out there but what made you decide to join the GM Forum?

For me when I first stummbled into the site I spent a few days lurking in the shadows just reading the posts, most of them were funny, witty with good humoured banter thrown in.

But every post and topic covered showed the guys on this site to be lovers of all things golf like myself and also that they were willing to share experiances and would gladly offer advice when asked.

So what was it that made you stick around?

1) It is a forum where newbies are welcomed.

2) There is a wide range of interesting discussion and oppinion.

3) People generally behave in a decent manner, the etiquette on the forum is good.

4) There aren't idiots throwing personal insults around every 5 minutes.

5) The magazine actually gets involved with us, the little guys!

6) I love the fact that 2 people can be polar-opposites in their respective oppinions on one matter and then on the next topic are in complete unison.

7) Nobody holds petty grudges over differences of oppinion.

For me it is the excellent attitude of those posting. The atmosphere is very reminiscent of a buzzing clubhouse.

Why the GM forum?

Because the members make you feel instantly comfortable enough to know that your views are not only welcome, but actively sought, and will never be disparaged!
Here respect does not have to be earned, it is a gift upon arrival which you keep until you leave!

Hi Toad.
I find it a place where you get an honest opinion from a great bunch of people.
No one tries to come across as better than anyone else.

In total a great place to spend a while each day while the other half watches the soaps lol.

And Ali you are equal to all of us. Just a shame there are no more female members.

Becaus this forum provides advice, debate and fun.

All members contribute to the debates.
diversity of opinion is encouraged and finally as medwayjohn said the mag gets involved.

because;
its full of colourful characters who give so generously their advice
the debates seem to be cradled by an ever present sense of fun
hackers and scratch players are treat with equal regard
guess its a people thing

LOL Tim.
