Played blades all my golfing life. I won’t consider playing GIs as they don’t sit right with me. I started with Sounder sbIV then Titleist 690, Snake Eyes 695b, Wishon 555b and onto the Wishon 575,s the only irons that are not a blade in the 575 are 3&4, which is more like muscle back.

I went from GI clubs to blades, my scores haven’t changed, but I do prefer the look and feel

Tested them against my gi clubs and distance dispersion was better by a small amount

I currently play with GI irons, old GI irons at that. When I got them I was off of 21, and they were great, a fantastic solid feel when you hit them, got them up and away with good distance.

My next set (fingers crossed this year) will be blades or at least half blades half CB. Off of 8 I want to start controlling the ball more, not so much cuts and draws which I can do with my current set, although it takes a lot of effort, but I want to control my ball flight.

I can punch my current set obviously, but when I have tried a blade I just have to alter my hand position slightly and I can hit a low piercing trajectory with little effort, which makes playing in the wind much easier, compared to now when a normal shot will go incredibly high.

And of course they just look gorgeous, I'm not going to be a pro so if playing with blades puts a smile on my face every time I pull them out of the bag, then why not play with them.

Ben Sayers made at least two Ray Floyd models, the Power Ridged as shown in my post above, right side fourth down, and a more traditional set not too different from the Ben Sayers Silver Crest immediately below the Ray Floyd in the same picture.

here is a pic of the 3 iron from my set

from your picture - takes me back - I played the Wilson Staff Fluid Feels Still got them) and my best mate played the Maxflis. When he got down to 5 he decided he needed to straighten up his game off the tee and add another dimension to his long fairway shots - so he bought the Golden Ram 1i (apparently it was the 1i to play). He couldn't hit it. He gave it to me. I couldn't hit it. No idea why I think I might be able to hit it these days. But will have to give it a go.
