We experienced thunder snow this morning.

Really weird considering this area of SW Scotland is basically a thunderstorm free area.

Couple of inches last night, then heavy ice underneath, driving was fun this morning, blue skies now but its bitter, almost jumper weather.

not too bad temp wise and most roads cleared OK apart from the side roads.

at least it hadn't frozen last night and was still fluffy on the car.

Supposed to be taking my 4 year old for his first ski lesson to Glasgow tomorrow. Looking at todays weather conditions and tonights pedicted weather it's probably not a good idea to be driving north on the M74 in the morning......

Hey, could be worse you could be staying at Aviemore and the Funicular railway is closed because of snow and you can't get to the Ski Slopes... I kid you not it happens a lot

We have had more heavy snow forecast the last two days, none arrived but the last lot frozen solid with up to -8 overnight in a few parts.

The snow has been drizzle for an hour or so & it's turned quite mild.
I think that was it for this winter.
