Donald, he's already 3 points ahead and the way it is calculated his consistency over the last two years are gonna make it difficult to catch up any time soon unless he has a complete and total collapse, which I can't see. If Donald keeps turning in the top 10s and chucks in the odd win for good measure, someone is gonna have to be "Tiger at his best" good next year to overturn it. All the time it's a different winner every week, Donald will be top for a good while yet.
Can't see Luke getting caught for a year or so given his consistency.
Westwood seems to be hovering on the edge. Would be so easy for him to topple down but a good start to next season could see him challenging again.
Kaymer seems to be finding his swing again and, of course there's Rory.
But Stricker, Johnson, Scott and Day might have a say in things.
For me, this time next year.......
Donald
Kaymer
McIlroy - who's gone 2nd to Luke this week..
Then again maybe switch Kaymer and Rory around.....
I think Luke has the no1 spot sewn up for next year with only Rory in with a chance of catching him, Westie could drop out of top 5.
1. Luke
2. Rory
3. Dustin
4. Kaymer
5. Day
If Tiger has a good season might get into top 10, more likely top 20.
1. Luke Donald- stunningly consistent and has to be a Masters fave
2. Kaymer- coming back good
3. McIlroy- Putting is really poor at times
4. Simpson- not just a one season wonder
5. Keegan Bradley- proved he wasn't a fluke win
6. Fowler- could be his year
7. Jason Day- pretty unlucky against some wonder performances this year
8. Adam Scott- unnless the putter gets banned
9. Westwood- last chance saloon
10. Watney- what's not to like.
Comeback Kings: Garcia, Casey, Harrington and Els all easily capable of winning big having shown signs of recovery to form.
Lest we forget: Mickleson- lost his mojo, Woods- lost his swing, Westwood/ Furyck- lost the faint ability to putt
Going to be the most competitive season in yonks and a bookies heaven.
