While out and about I find a few balls. Recently started trying to get a basket together and donating it into the local Animal Shleter charity shop to help them raise funds. So every week or two I take a wander on around the course on a ball hunting mission. I have started to discover quite a few of the balls I've found are premium level balls in good condition. After seeing so many thread on balls I am thinking of maybe filtering out the better balls and holding them to one side and offering "trial" packs of found balls to forum members with proceeds going to the shelter. OK I'll need to build up a bit more of a stock but was wondering how many might be interested in this as an idea?

I would be interested mate

In fact why dont you bring a free trial pack to Ballyliffin........Brendy will need them:whistle:

No he wont he has a dozen already

Seems like it would be a good idea and depending I might be interested

Now the sore point. What price point would you be happy to pay for found premium and mid range balls?

I have my ideas but want to see what other think is resonable.

Depends on the quality of them, the guys who sell loads of balls on ebay have a grading system for them and the price obviously reflects that. Im sure youve looked at their prices and grading system so I would say tell people what you want for them and let them decide if they want to pay that price.

Your also going to have to allow for postage costs which will account for 2-3 quid for a dozen I would guess.

Remember you have found these balls and any money you get for them is a profit so I would say dont be greedy and youll shift them and make yourself a few quid.

How much for "like new" Z Stars for a fellow Ballyliffiner:whistle:

All money raised after postage cost would be going to Grovehill Animal Shelter charity so not really making anything myself. I'll bring some of my found premium balls for all attending this weekend though. Happy to swap a premium for a lower grade ball as I can then put them in the charity shops basket. So when you are searching in the rough bear that in mind ;)

A single cost system in the shop is going to work better hence why I'm searching alternative for the premiums. Imagine paying the same for a Dunlop as you are for a Pro V1. Makes no sense.

I know golfers go in as my old GM mags don't sit long and a sleeve of Seve balls I got from the MD players club walked out after 3 days for a nice £1.50.
