Got to be McIlroy for me, just looking forward to him developing his game over the next few years.

I am also sure he will overcome his weakness which is his putting if he puts the work in.

obviously tiger, just because hes had a few,koff,koff, discrecions, it takes nothing away to what he has contributed to golf.As well as his on course heroics, he has threw himself into his charity work also.He can be credited with todays players keeping themselves in good physical/mental shape to keep up with him, gone are the days of professional golfers having the lifestyle habits of a couch potato.For me this is all good,i do realise others will disagree though!

I have always really liked Fred Couples. I think it was the swing which was so nice to watch for me, and also seemed like a really nice guy, especially for an american.
Payne Stewart was another one.
The current crop really don't get my vote which can make watching them slightly boring as you are not willing your player on. Thankfully I don't have sky, so can't watch too often

Definitely McIlroy for me. Hopefully he can notch win no 2 this weekend.
Other than that I like Tiger although I can't help but hope he always gets beat by the underdog. Mikelson's a joy to watch around the greens. Ogilvy for national pride and I'm enjoying seeing Westwood's resurgence.

All time favourite has to be The Shark.

Casey, Mcilroy and Fisher for me. Certainly a british isles bias in there, but all three are thoroughly deserved of a place in the popularity hall of fame. Not only can all three play at a level more than sufficient to bring home a major, but they manage to play with a smile on their face most of the time and when interviewed all seem very genuine, decent guys.

Away from home you can't help but admire a few of the South African contingent: Els, Goosen and Schwartzel whilst despite their marmite appeal American's Mickleson, Woods and Kim demand respect- even if in the case of the latter two it is mainly based around their on course talents.

I could go on, but for fear of drowning out what should be a simple thread I will stop my thought trail. I think we need to pluralise the original question- I certainly can't keep it down to one pick! Sorry!

I like to watch Poulter but I'd rather not listen to him.

For me, has to be The Big Easy. Just watching Ernie swing is as good as having a golf lesson! If only his putting could match up to his ball striking he would be virtually unbeatable!

Darren Clarke always plays with a smile upon his face and just comes across as a top man.

I'd love to have a few beers with him, reckon he'd be a good laugh.
