Can see Nike been massive in America & Asia. I'd probably say I see more Ping than anything outside the 19th. Although I do own a Taylormade hybrid,I think most of there new gear looks cheap.

Come on Big Man are you on the Pop.

There is no way that Nike are the biggest brand in golf, the only folk I see using Nike gear in the amateur game is the Chompers who don't know any better, you see more club golfers with TM, Callaway or Titleist clubs than that of Nike. And as for the Pro game there is no question that TM have the market share.

Im not doubting it but the question was who is the biggest brand which has to be Nike not who's clubs get used more.

I still personally feel as an out and out golf brand then it has to be Accushnet (Titleist). I do see anyone who collectively sell more balls, shoes and apparel, wedges, putters and off course driver/fairways/hybrids and Irons than them.

Depends if we are looking at this as the company or as the brand. Obviously as already mentioned, Acushnet are probably the biggest seeing as the majority of gloves and shoes seen on thhe course are Footjoy and the most played balls are Titleist. Driver wise I see more TM than any other company. 2 of my regular partners have Ping clubs, but have TM drivers. For the future I can see Cobra becoming big, as I see alot of young players at my place using Cobra clubs. To be honest I am very tempted by a set of Cobra myself. I nearly got the Encore driver when I purchased my R11s. Also the S3 Pro irons look fantastic.

And currently being transported to a shop near me for me to try. Quite possibly the best looking irons currently for sale. If they hit as good as they look then they'll be in the bag next week.

With all the endorsements they have, it looks like Nike are after world domination. World number one and two as stablemates, you dont spend that type of money without expecting a hefty return on your outlay.

Biggest brand in golf........Tiger Woods.

Nike golf would suffer terribly without him. Look at how poorly the PGA tour events were supported (tv and gates receipts) during his sabbatical. Look how much he draws into tournaments when he goes over to China / Asia etc.

Acushnet are not a brand. It is, or was, a company which owned several golfing brands.

Footjoy is probably the largest brand in footwear and their brand is also very strong in gloves and clothing. However, the fact that Footjoy don't make clubs makes it hard to claim them as the biggest golf brand.

With this in mind, I can see Nike becoming the biggest brand in golf. They already have a strong brand across a number of sports and whilst they may be seen as lesser brand to some of today's golfers, they will perform well with new golfers.

My 2 new pence.
