I'm steering away from England and Belgium because we just have no idea how they'll do against a decent test. It could work in England's favour to play Columbia next.

Before the tournament I had Germany beating France in the final. Based on how they've played so far though, I'm saying Brazil now rather than France. France had one of the easiest groups and played poorly in every game. Brazil had a slightly tougher group I think, and did a little bit more. Not that any of them has actually played great.

Spain could be the dark(ish) horse. Had all the talk of England getting the 'easy' half of the draw, but Spain are in that half so they will be thinking their path to the final is pretty clear.

From memory I think the Swiss are ranked #6 in the world? Don t know where Uruguay are.

The world rankings are a joke though, to the point of being meaningless. A lot of countries have actually cancelled matches in order to maintain higher rankings and get seeded in qualifying draws and so on. Wales did it before and ended up higher ranked than England at one point. If Uruguay were to face Switzerland, I'd mark Uruguay down as the strong favourites, there's no doubt about that.

Apparently Cavani is touch and go after hobbling off against Portugal though. Could all hinge on him. If he's fit then I agree with you, we could see a Uruguay Croatia final.
