Hi guys/girls

Our society has chosen to stay at Scarborough this year for our annual few days away so im after some recommendations of which courses are good and which to stay away from.

We will be playing 2 courses while there and then after a good course on our way home (travelling back towards Liverpool).
Ganton is not an option as some of the lads wont pay those green fees but would appreciate any help on other courses

Have played Scarborough North Cliff and Filey a couple of times. Both very decent courses, and ok for high handicappers like myself. My in laws' place overlooks the 18th green at North Cliff. It's a good distraction when they are waffling on! MIL was club captain there, it's a nice friendly club.

Filey has the better sea views and would be my slight preference if I had to choose one over the other, but there's not much in it tbh. if you choose to play both, you'll be happy.

Never played Whitby, it's a bit of a trek from Scarborough, 20 miles, but will take 40 mins or so as the road is not the best. Have heard the course is pretty tight.

You might want to take a look at this http://www.golfcoastpassport.co.uk/ 60 quid for 3 rounds or £72 for 4. North Cliff not included though.

Thanks very much for replies will have a look at courses mentioned.

Bridlington has been mentioned is that a decent track? and also been told to have look at Kirkbymoorside.

Belvedere Golf Club, Bridlington, is very good. Excellent greens, even in winter. Played K’moorside countless times. Used to be a wooden clubhouse and not a bunker on the course. Very much improved down the years, including the addition of plenty of bunkers
