When you go for a casual game of golf (not a club match), do you take a change of clothes and use your clubs showers ?
Do they provide towels ?
Or do you just wait till you get home ?

If I play 18 I usually have a shower and change at the club, take my own towel. If Im only practising I dont usually bother and wait till I get home. That said always have a change of clothes in the car in case the weather is horrific

We are all straight back in the motors and off home after a round, shower when I get back. It's 6 hours from leaving home to getting back, with families at home to consider, it's the sensible choice.

The showers at my old golf club were so hot the senior section came out less wrinkly than they went in!

I used to go on a midweek afternoon just as they were finishing their weekly comp...

Always at home unless we play an Open with a meal afterwards. Showers at our place are ok but a small block with toilets adjacent to the pro shop and open to all and sundry :o

Golden one? :o
Decent showers at our place but they don't provide towels.
Rarely have a shower at our club unless where staying out for pints - usually after majors (opens/championships etc)
If on an outing always make use of all the facility's on offer inc showers ball cleaners etc...

Is that something they provide in the men's showers then?

Had a round at The London Shire today. Almost summer conditions!

Excellent showers but the towels leave a bit to be desired.

I travel 45 miles to play this course and never regret it!

I always have a shower be it at my club or someone elses.....The way i see it green fees are paid for a reason and to me that includes the basic facilities that "should be provided" by the club you are playing at.

Shark ....are you still down at nerston or still up at torrance? If at nerston,is the clubhouse up and running yet??

Never been at Nerston, playing out of Kirkhill GC. Gave up on Torrance House, course closed too often, just so wet. In reply to your other question their new clubhouse opened last August and is looking fine.

I much prefer a deep, very hot bat,h to a shower when I get home, and when I've played a club match and showered there, I still have a bath when I get home!

Will have a shower for club matches, opens as it invariably involves a sit down meal. Tend to use my own towel but the club do provide them too. It depends on the forecast, but if its looking like rain I'll usually take a spare set of clothes for the weekend roll up or comp just in case I get a drenching but don't usually shower or change for those
