1. What golf clubs are everyone playing when living in South London (Clapham area)?
2. How are you getting there without a car?
3. If you get the train, where do you usually play? And do you just taxi from the station?
4. Similarly for practicing at the driving range, where do you go?

I don't live in South London, but Mitcham has to be among the easiest clubs to get to, it's next door to Mitcham Junction station, which is a 15 min journey from Clapham Junction.

There are a number of clubs within 5 to 10 minutes walk of train stations that are easy to get to from Clapham, such as Strawberry Hill, Hersham, Mitcham, Royal Mid Surrey and even Sunningdale.

I know we have a tram stop 100m from our entrance which appeals to those from the city, even though we are south east based he lives in north west London.

Thanks all for your help. New to the area so will have to look out for the courses near the stations. Heard about a few in Surrey like Hoebridge, Pryford, Silvermere and world of golf for a nearby driving range but they all need a taxi at the other end to get too so wasn’t sure how everyone was getting there. Do you think those courses are worth the taxi?

Can I suggest that if you had worded your first post a little more informatively on your situation and asking those questions in a different manner you might have got a little more assistance. :)
Clapham is quite a largish area (due to it's desirablity level) so , depending on which part you are in, how about Dulwich? It's not far along the South Circular depending on where your'e starting from:)
What time of day and what days you want tomplay might also impact on your ability to get to any suggestions in a timely manner.
BTW I'm not digging, just trying to actually help :)

Mitcham a good shout as station and clubhouse are practically in the same place.
Royal Mid Surrey 10 min walk from Richmond Station
Roehampton Club 10 min walk from Barnes station
Dulwich & Sydenham Hill 10 min walk from Sydenham Hill station.

New Malden station is 15 minutes on the train from CJ and is about a 10 minute walk from Malden golf club. Twenty minutes on a bus from CJ followed by a 20 minute walk would get you to London Scottish Golf Club.

Try

Try The Fulwell GC, which should be walkable both ways.
