Course has been closed now most of December, went for a walk with the misses and thought we'd have a look see what's going on..

Here's a couple of pics...

Back of our 16th through the trees -

Path to our 16th -

16th tee box and fairway -

Path at the 4th - bridge to green in shot -

Can't see it being open for a number of weeks.. Not looking good...

As much as I know there isn't much they can do about it, you just can't help feel that your not getting your £900 a year usage..

Saw the pics you posted on Twitter Phil, sad to see. If I was in your shoes would definitely considering alternative options, albeit many be in a similar situ I guess

jesus christ and i thought my course had it tough

I called up my course this morning for a update
Expected it to be closed
But they said they are open with 8 temp greens

Im thinking weekend golf for me then

On the plus side the rumour is the back nine at Royal Ascot is going to re-open in time for the stableford on Sunday. joking apart, those are shocking scenes and I hope the water can drain somewhere soon and the green staff can fix the damage

I will never complain about the state of Garesfield ever again......or at least until it rains again

Holy hell mate, I know we have had a bad year weather wise but that is awful, the worst I've seen. I'd be moving clubs unless there was some major announcements at your AGM regarding new drainage facilities.

Tough times. Wyboston still closed although front 9 close to opening they reckon. Last 5 weeks has seen us play golf at Beds & County and we've more than had our moneys worth even if it sucks paying out twice for golf. Course open on 18 holes today, all main greens and playing really nicely. Sad but can't keep paying for 12 months membership and only getting 9 which offsets the fact the fees are on the low side - pro-rata they're not!
