3rd October for me. Not even been on the practice range. Just way too wet, muddy and boggy.

£360 in fees down the pan. 💷🤔😔

Photos of my course yesterday courtesy of the head greenkeeper ...

10 days...which for me is like a lifetime
To be fair we were away over Xmas and I haven't had much opportunity since we got back.
The weather is doing a great job of convincing me that staying in is the best option right now....just cold, wet and a strong wind.
Might get out tomorrow but it might be Monday
We've been open, carry if you can.....only carry for 9 these days so it makes it easier to not go sometimes....

It's either Sept 30th or Oct 14th. Either way, it's a long time ago ☹. The pictures posted by the OP could easily have been from my own course.

It's been a disastrous 3 months up here for wet weather, and so playing golf. Not surprising that 2 of the links courses up here, Newbiggin and Alnmouth Village, are either full or have limited memberships available. Neither are fashionable links courses either so this a quite a thing.

End of September for me. Playing in rain is no fun. 14 holes currently open on my course although it was down to 10 a few weeks ago. Common sense would shut the course but commercial pressures mean it has to stay open. I see no attraction in playing a few decent holes and then squelching around in mud for the rest.

Still getting out regularly, playing 18 yesterday and 9 this morning. But it’s carry only, and the back nine is a quagmire.

It takes an awful lot for us to shut. Really not sure that’s a good thing, although it does help keep the subs down as members at local courses which are closed will happily pay good money to come and churn ours up.

I've had my money's worth....I've put in 108 cards and played as many partial or social rounds...

Living the dream! Sounds beautiful 🤩

Jeees, I've only played 24 times this year!

Course was very wet in spring too so missed a bunch of rounds there. As a dog walker I'm just sick of the rain.

I'm lucky the course is pretty much always playable, ive skipped a couple rounds because of bad weather and just played another day in the week

Your right tho the rain needs to begger off , I don't mind playing in light rain it's just the biblical down pours

I don't mind rain, it's playing in a bog and the ball being lost 3 inches under the ground that I don't like 😂

Can't even remember - and not bothered, the weather is mince, and I've no inclination to play a wet course when it's chucking it down and blowing a gale - course has been closed pretty much since November barring the odd weekend. The youths home course is open, but I'm not paying a green fee for winter greens to go and lake with him. I'll catch up in the better weather.
