Probably when playing Spey Valley on the GM Castle Stuart weekend and some plonker who was playing behind us bladed one out of the bunker while we were on the next tee, hitting my playing partner on the back and making him jump about and squeal like a girl ( which nearly drowned out the sound of sniggering from the crew behind us ).

:whistle::whoo:

Ha ha I remember that i was playing with Crawford in the group behind. It was one of the guys from Clarks Bar, Bladed one out the bunker...

I was playing a few holes one night up at Torvean it was about half ten at night and was just getting a little dark.
Putting on the 5th green which is right up in the corner near the quarry. Some tramp come chargeing out the bushes, nearly shat myself.

Was at Tain a few year ago playing with a visitor how was in a buggy so i joined him in it. Anyway we cought up and let though by group in front who were 4 Dutch Ladies all looking for a ball in the gorse, so as we drove by i called to them to watch out for snakes, well you have never seen 4 women move so fast. very funny. not my scariest moment but prob was for them:)

Mine was probably last summer, not long after returning to playing after an op to fix my Achilles. Went out for a round on my own after work one night. We'd been having heavy showers all day but all seemed fine when I set off. Got to the 14th and things got darker and darker. By the time I'd got to the green it was clear that a thunderstorm was moving in. Being at the highest point of the course I could see I was going to have to get a move on and playing well below my handicap I wanted to finish. Thought I had a bit of time so hit my drive off the 15th and watched my ball heading an absolute mile down the middle. There was then a massive flash of lightening followed by the biggest clap of thunder I think I've ever heard - Zeus would've been proud of it. My bones felt it and how I managed to contain my bowels I will never know! Suffice to say I threw my driver into my bag and hobbled my way back to the car as fast as I could. Got there just as the heavens opened. So to the person who found a pristine Titleist NXT in the middle of the 15th fairway, that's why! :D

I was playing a course near to me when a thunderstorm came from nowhere, i was at the far end of the course and exposed, i vaugely remebered something along the lines of sand doesnt conduct electricity, so i hunkered down in a bunker, and left my bag and clubs in the mddle of the fairway.
first time i have ever saw lightning strike the ground before when it hit a tree and headed downwards about thirty feet for me and you could feel the static or maybe it was the hair on my neck standing up, at that point im sure i touched cloth!!

i decided to get as low as i could so i lay in the bunker and tried to wait it out, bearing in mind its tipping buckets on me and my so called 100% waterproof suit didnt live up to its name.
Next thing a tractor ambles by and stops, guy in the tractor looks at me lying in the bunker and then lets out a few expletives and calls for god several times, turns out he thought i had been hit by lightning.
he then tells me to run into the fairway and pick up my lightning conducters and get in the tractor....aye right i'll crack the jokes. had to wait for 30 minutes in the clubhouse before the storm passsed and he wouldnt give me a lift back to my bag...all in all a happy day!!

I was playing in Thailand on the Blue Canyon course, and my caddy says, "look, sir" and points slighty left of where I'm walking. Couldn't see anything, so carry on. "Look, sir" again and points more vigorously to the left. Still can't see anything. Then I hear a jabbering of Thai, followed by "Stop, sir". Which I do. She then walks slowly over, and points again, this time directly in front of me, where about 6 foot away is a f*cking Cobra! That then sits up and starts hissing. Sh*tting myself big time, until he slithered off a few seconds later.
