What's the weather like by you lot ?

Played society outing at my home course today--23 hardy souls set off from 12 noon--rain constantly from 9 am this morning--no let up--throw in an bit of a gale and a typical golfing day for november, unfortunately we are in june.

Came towards the 8th to find one of our members waiting as his partners had called it a day after the 7th. He also indicated a number of lads had also called it a day.
We proceeded along and the group ahead of us called it a day after 11. looked around the course and only saw three others playing--completed the course and discovered only 6 finished the course.
One of the toughest days golf i have experienced--everything soaked after a few holes, gloves, clubs, towels etc.
WHAT A MISERABLE DAY.

Going to trade my car in for a boat on Monday. Today was horrendous weather but the ground seems to have soaked it all up. Due to rain again tomorrow but looking good for Monday - Hurrah!!

Wow I got off lightly. Decent weather yesterday for a practice session, overcast but dry so perfectly adequate. Today there was a definite element of rain in the clouds as I got to the course, but the sun managed to burn through and it was too hot in my polo / v neck :)

Sunday has been worse than Saturday here, managed 3 holes before torrential rain, thunder and lightning forced me to give up.

Non stop rain here all day Saturday - my course closed.
Rain overnight and all morning today - course closed.
Missed a team game against local club and an individual matchplay game.
Bit sick cos rain has now stopped and its started to dry up

Packed the kitchen sink today (waterproofs, spare towels, extra golves) having been woken at 5.54am by a thundestorm and a downpour of biblical proportions. Wasn't overly optimistic about playing in the medal but when I got there at 8.15 it was warm sunshine and only a few standing puddles. Took my jumper off after 9 and ditched the towels and gloves for the 2nd half (made the bag lighter!) and ended up with a nice red face from the sun.

It was fairly grim, but cheered up after 7 or 8 holes.
Not a good day for scoring.....I don't know about anyone else, but we have some deep lush-green grass outside of the first cut around the greens. Balls in this are a bit too "hit and hope" for me. Even worse when wet....
