What's the best golf tip you've ever had?

Played with David Howell's Caddy in a Club Comp on Sunday, the best bit of advice he gave me was that if in-between clubs always go higher and swing easy.

Should you really be taking advuce from a Tour Caddy with a Sunday off? :D:whistle:

Ditch whoever's giving lessons at the moment and go see the guy who teaches me ........ after being out driven and outplayed by a 15yo. Literally stopped me from quitting playing altogether.

Everything new will feel weird, practise it on range, take it onto golf course, if it's not working after 2 or 3 rounds then it probably never will do. Revert back or try something else. Horse's for courses and all that.

Never wear black shoes with black work socks if you're wearing shorts.

Very funny Murph!

Don't get me started on your shoes - the ones that make you look like an extra from Bugsy Malone!

Best golf tip? See the strike. Watch the club it the ball. It is the only tip that works and is especially true for putting. Same principle as listening to the ball drop into the hole rather than seeing it - that comes from Ben Hogan.

If he (my knockout final opponent - apparently known for hitting trees so hard that his ball can change make & model) goes into the trees or rough to look for his ball follow him closely!

I did and I won the match!
