What's the best golf tip you've ever had?

Have fun!
Simple as that. Since I took that bit of advice on board my game has improved no end. I'm not as bothered about bad shots, they happen, I'm not bothered about my final score, although it's nice when it's a good one and I'm having a ball when I'm playing.

After you finish your swing, make sure the ball is further away from you than before your swing and nearer the hole than it was.

Inside 6 foot, never aim outside the hole and hit it firm. That may be paraphrasing something from Tiger Woods' book, works very very well for me.
