After nearly 20 years of playing with my TaylorMade R580 3 wood, I bought a TaylorMade M1, however I did change the shaft on it very quickly. It has improved my fairway wood striking after going to something with a little more loft, without any loss of distance.

I've not bought much this year

- SM6 52d and 58d wedges #awesome
- Ping G400 Hoofer Carry bag - #unreal
- Alignment sticks - #practice
- Nike RZN platinum golf balls #lost

I love my wedges - love them love them love them! Can't believe you traded yours in! #SM6thebest

plus I thought I'd put some hash tag's in! time to make this forum hip and fun! #gettingdownwiththeyouth

Will be lesson time, and a constant theme this year, trying to get more turn on the way back to get more speed on the way down.

My driver. I tried out about 4 different drivers early this year, wasn't that happy with them. Eventually went to the A.G. outlet near me to try their second hand range. The guy handed me a TM R11-S set to 12° and the shaft is about an inch shorter than standard. Goes like a dream and only cost me 60 quid. My driving has never been better.

I broke a 25 year rule and bought 24 Chrome soft golf balls (truviz).

Whilst I'm down to my last one I was a good investment; and I enjoy using that ball.

I like that one - and I find plenty to play so it must be popular.

My only golf purchase of any sort this year (other than a glove and tees) has been a Motocaddy Cube3 push trolley. Life changing cf my old pull trolley.

Probably joining a second club. Got the best of both worlds.

Knebworth really nice course but competitions are slow as hell but it's quiet during the week and after work. Not great in the winter.
Chesfield. Busy after work but comps are great and course is playable all year round.

  • John Letters Master Model “Gary Player” - 3 to 10
  • Greenway - half set 3 to W
  • Wilson Staff Tourblade - 3 to SW
  • Browning 440 - 3 to SW
  • Ben Sayers Silver Crest - 3 to SW
  • MacGregor Colokrom M85 (1980s remake) - 3 to SW
  • Wilson DynaPower - 3 to SW
  • Dunlop Maxfli Australian Blades - 3 to W
  • Dunlop Peter Thomson - 3 to SW (missing the 9 iron but I’ve just located one on ebay!)
  • Slazenger Ambassador - 3 to SW

And they're all lovely. :D

Oh yes, plus a few putters and woods to go with them.

Next season I plan to drop my moderns permanently.

Just checked it out £1425. Pretty expensive for Scotland. Maybe the West is more expensive?

Dunbar, NB, Gullane are a lot less than that. Dunbar is ~£700.

I work shifts so 5 day membership which gives me Mon-Fri plus Sunday after 1pm and access to the practice facilities all 7 days. Wednesday and Sunday medals through the season. 925 bucks. I personally think its outstanding value.

Dunbar and Gullane are nice but hardly on my doorstep.

Clic-Gear trolley.
Solid and dependable
Epic driver with regular Rogue MSI 110 shaft - still capable of carving one but driving better than I have for years.
