What piece of gear has changed your game (for the better or worse)?

I have struggled for a while with my mid irons. I already use hybrids 4 and 5 and hit them great. I was told my a memebr of another forum that your irons should start with the one you are 100% comfortable with.
So with this in mind i decided to replace the 6 iron with an Acer XDS react hybrid iron from Hireko golf and i am hitting it so well i've just ordered the 7 hybrid.

Im yet to get any funny looks but i dont really care. If it allows me to hit good shots and wnjoy it more then thats all that matters.

A chipper.

After seeing the improvement one made to Smiffy's short game I just had to get one as well

played with a bloke who had one of those. He used it from anthing up to about 50yards out. It was a Dunlop twin face thing and he was flipping lethal with it.....made me sick! ;)

Electric trolley - it means I can play more without making my, already knackered, back worse.
When I carry my lower back & glutes seize up.
As such I'm looser at the end of the round and better able to swing properly.

Twin face?
Are they legal?

First hybrid/rescue which was a Taylor Made mid rescue 3 way back around 2004, long par 3's and long par 4's suddenly became so much easier.

I think so, its just like a lofted version of the old twin sided putters you set at crazy golf courses.

Garmin S1....walking up to any shot and knowing the distance is invaluable.

Funny this thread should be on here today. I just used my new Bionic glove, which is flipping great. That said, it's not what has helped me as much as my new irons. About three months ago I bought some Benross Max Speed irons. Good irons, but I never felt comfortable with them. I just made some money on a deal concerning a driver, so I bought some second hand Ping G2,s, with the 3,4,5 iron be high launch versions. I bought from ebay, but from a golf shop. They adjusted the irons to a blue dot, which I know would suit me. The moment I put them in my hands I knew they felt right. Played with them this morning, and what a difference. 19 points from 9 holes. Of course, I know there will be days they don't behave, but that's golf !!

Ping G30 driver, so easy to hit its daft. Had the G25 previous and it was the same but the G30 is just cheating. I'd also say my putter, always been a patchy putter but this thing has levelled my putting to fairly steady, with the odd really good round thrown in (22 putts is the lowest round so far)

Too early to say, really, because I just got it last week, but my new Cobra FlyZ driver seems to be a real game changer. 20 yards more off the tee easily over the crappy noname driver I hit before.

Apart from that probably the putting mat I bought in winter.

What putting mat did you get?

Wasn't going to post as a driver has been mentioned already but have to agree, the FlyZ is just a game changer! Easily 20-30 yards longer than my 7yr old callaway (of course its all my doing ;))

I have so much more confidence to swing full at it (full for me anyway) but the results from off center hits might even be a bigger game changer than the extra distance on a sweet shot

Best money I've spent in a while

In all honesty, pink castle tees !!! I was a tee snob and only used white wooden tees when driving and never found the consistency in strike required for obvious reasons. Bit the bullet got the castles and have seen a significant improvement in my driving and subsequent scoring .
