The clubs you have in the bag ?

My nike irons are over a decade old but i'm trying to think why i purchased that model and can't.

My woods are new this year and were fitted , but i could have walked out with any model on the market dependant on the results.

Over to you .

was in the pro shop signing in and he said I have a cancelled order of new Mizuno's I can let you have for cost price- ok I said without knowing anything about the shafts, lies, length etc etc still using them 15 years later

Practically everything I had in my bag (up until very recently) was bought for me. Only recently did I actually make a choice on specific clubs. I bought some Cleveland wedges (price and reputation helped my decision) and I got an Odyssey Versa putter, chosen because of it feel and the sway of my heart as I've alway wanted an Odyssey.

I am going to test a few drivers/hybrids soon with the intention of buyng one or both. Whilst my bag is practiacally Callaway, I am going to try out a few other brands. I think forgiveness, distance, looks and price are going to influence my choice (pretty obvious i guess)..

I tend to stick with reliable brand names. After that it is slightly shallow as it is based on looks although I do google reviews to see if they are easy to use or better for low handicappers. I love the look of the clubs I have, the CG16's in particular. If they didn't work then I would move them on, as I have with a number of clubs over the years, and replace with another product but everything I have in the bag at the moment is very nice. Any issues with my golf are all my own, not my equipment.

first decent set i had were Mizuno's, There were head a shoulders ahead of everything i tried that day.

Ive tried other makes but just like the way they sit, feel and look behind the ball.

Current is the MP4 and the last were JPX825pro, the MP4 just give better distance control.

Irons-too good a deal to turn down.

Driver-tried a mates & liked it.
3w- £26
5w- mate found head in bushes on course,I had it reshafted.
Wedges- I'm that good I can only use Vokeys.
Putter-it's a putter.

Went for a driver fitting - had a choice between the Titliest and Burner and picked Burner because it was cheaper and went from there

when i needed new irons I was struggling to find somewhere local for a proper fitting when GB72 recommended Orka and introduced me to Alex. Had a long session with him, under no pressure to buy but ordered them the following day to be built to my specs as agreed.

the current driver chose me when Jimbob needed some guinbea pigs for SLDR testing at the belfry, I have since added the 3 wood and hybrid through choice (and a little ocd lol)

the current putter was far more trial and error! tried 10-15 putters a year or so ago, mostly whilst waiting for the Ketsch which Id ordered to my spec after trying in a pro shop a while before, hadnt really got on with any of the other but instantly felt the Ketsch was the right one (for now anyway lol)

The Kombi was a pretty good stand in prior to the Ketsch for you.

Wanted some new irons. Headed to Silvermere and tried G30's, JPX EZ's, X2 Hots and Covert 2.0's, and hit the Coverts much more consistently, and loved the look and feel.

As for the driver. I've just replaced my X Hot with a 910 D2. Hadn't hit the 910 before I bought it, but couldn't resist for £35!

I started playing last November and when looking for clubs I was advised as a beginner to find a brand and get some irons and not spend too much time worrying about fittings and what brand wood hits better etc etc

I tried some Callaway XHot Irons, then bough them in a sale, then my OCD kicked in and I needed to buy everything Callaway after that.

i have some Mizuno Tour Proven original blades that I got off ebay. I bought them as I remember going to Lillywhites in London, long before than @rse Mike Ashley turned it into a jumble sale and seeing these gleaming new shiny blades in a display cabinet and falling in love with them. I told myself that one day I would have a set of my own!

My first set of blades were Sounder SBIVs, I've still got them altho in the loft now, got Titliest blades, then got Snake Eyes and now on Wishon. Think when I got the sounders they were different from what others were using and that's why I prefer independants to the mainstream.
