What Is Your Warm Up Routine?

Bacon roll and coffee, 3 putts then 1st tee, no point in practising for me as i can't repeat the same swing twice in a row

extensive - so that's probably the Jimenez option.

having full (free) practice facilities by the 1st tee you get into a habit of stretching, core engagement, rotation, through the clubs (not driver) then play

the real issue is when playing away you miss it!

none of this excludes the Guinness with the brekky though

Normally a few putts on the practice green then a few shots on the range if there are some balls laying about as we walk up to the first.

This could explain so much....

Arrive at the course.

Tactical one.

Roll a few putts to get a feel of the greens.

To the first tee.

Hitting loads of practice shots on the day is a waste of time imo.

Last year, a few swings in the net, some chipping and putting and on to the course. This year, I will be trying to hit a few shots on the practice ground before I play to make sure I get my rhythm going before the first tee.

Only if you pay the entry fee onto Homer's Field!!! In a roll up I'm trying to just hit a few shots in the net. For a comp, I stretch a little for five minutes, start hitting some pitches and then a few shots with short, middle and long irons. Desperately looking for nothing but a smooth tempo and not having any technical thought. Hit a few fairway woods/ hybrids and finish with the driver. Pop a few in the practice bunker on the way back, mooch into the locker room, sign in, get my tees etc and then back to the putting green for a fww chips and putts. Off to the first.....and straight right OB

Jesus, if you tee off at lets say 9AM... What time do you arrive at the course? 5:30AM ;)

Used to be turn up half hour before tee time, grab a coffee, have a fag and a few practice swings before I tee off.

Since the new year when on the range with a buddy of mine who explained my biggest card killer was the front nine. Not because I was doing anything wrong as such just that I was using the front nine to warm up.
I now turn up an hour before tee time, grab a coffee and off to the range.
50 balls out the machine (minimum you can have) then some half wedge shots to the first flag followed by some fuller wedges to the second flag out, some mid irons then a few woods and 5 for the driver to finish. I then have a few putts on the practice green but not at a hole to start with then finish off with some some short putts into a hole from about 4 feet.

normal first tee shot was in the range, in the trees, in the ditch or close to them. I have hit or been very close to the green in the last 4 rounds with my first ever birdie on the hole two pars and a bogey. I'm far more confident heading for the first tee now and my front nine scores have plummeted taking a lot of pressure off the back nine.

Given the nastiness of the first hole where I normally play, I normally warm up with a (very) few balls - a dozen is normally enough.

Then a few putts/chips and it's off to the 1st tee!

That is all after coffee and maybe, but probably not these days, a breakfast and a read of the Torygraph - at least for Matt and Alex and the Sport section - of course!

On a good day; some stretching, 20 hits on the practice ground (pw, 6 iron, driver), then about 20 chips and short pitches followed by 10 mins on the practice green.

On a bad day; some light weightlifting (bag onto trolley), short jog (from car park to first tee), a few bending execises (getting ball, tees, glove, etc) and one practice swing.

:D

Gentle walk from the van to the first tee, then a gentle walk amongst the trees and bushes looking for my ball while promising to myself that next week, I will have a few warm up swings before teeing off.

Tends to be breakfast and a coffee, then I'll head to the putting area for a little while, a few minutes chipping then I'll head of to the net for a few swings. We have a range out our place but we have to provide our own balls which means having to spend a lot of time retrieving them so I give that a miss.

If teeing off before 11:30am, I generally start with a McDonalds breakfast. If any later, then normally 2 x cheeseburgers removing all gherkins. Eat while driving to conserve all the goodness and energy my nutritious start brings.

6 balls in the net if available with the 6i. Then onto the putting greens to ensure my three putting is in place.

I hate being late however and rushing to the first.
