I lack any kind of consistency in my game these days.
Had a game last tuesday night with one of the plus handicappers at my club.Wind was horrendous and i was tired after a long day at work, but i hardly hit a bad shot and walked off the 18th 2 under gross.
Played a league match the week before and it was a different story altogether.I'd turned up early and warmed up on the practice area for 30 mins, swing felt good and i really fancied my chances. I birdied 4 of the first 5 holes to go 3 up, then from nowhere hooked my tee shot oob on the 7th ! My game then deserted me, and even after hitting numerous good drives i managed to hook or block simple approach shots and miss the greens by 15 yards.Had an opportunity to salvage a half on the 17th, but managed to 3 putt from 15 feet.

I think I can shoot a level par round, maybe sometime soon if my good form continues but we'll have to wait and see

I've only got within 4 shots of my PB (88) so far this year. But with new found consistency and the way i'm hitting the ball for large chunks of rounds (5-7 pars in each of last 3 rounds) - I think i'm going to beat it by 2 or 3 shots before the year ends.

Whether I can do that in a medal or not, remains to be seen.

Well my PB is an 88 on a Par 72 (so a 16 over) and that was off 26....I'm hopeful of shooting the same on my home course which would equate to an 85...in patches this year there has definitely been the form to do it...I played the front 9 in 7 over the other week, it's just putting it all together in one round.

Got back into golf in April after an absence of over 13 years (apart from the odd round). Shot below 100 for the first time since then at the weekend, scored 96. That included some ridiculous scores, 2 7s and a 9. Was 5 off the tee on 1 hole. If I can stop making these stupid mistakes I know I can get below 90, which is my next target.

I don't play the same course every week so I'm pretty pleased with how it's going. I'll join a club next year and will set my sights on consistently scoring 85 or below in 2014, think I've got it in me.

Have shot 90 off yellows but am averaging mid 90,s.

Striking the ball quite well, just need to cut ot the basic errors and I will be sub 90 and playing off a 'man's' HC soon;)
