Well just got back from my first flightscope fitting for a new titleist 910 driver.
Tried the 10.5* D2 in a neutral setting with a alida regular shaft, a diamana regular but slightly haeavier and then a diamana kai'll 65 mid stiff shaft.
I hit the alida pretty well at first with a swing speed around 90mph, ball speed around 120mph and a overall distance of roughly 210yards.
Then i tried the Diamana in regular but a slightly heavier shaft think it was 72g, i didn't like this at all, although i was hitting it slightly further, around 220yards but i was spraying it left and right and couldn't seem to find the middle of the club at all with it.
Then my pro suggested trying the diamana kai'll 65 stiff shaft just to see how i hit it even though my swing speed wasn't really in the stiff catergory.
First drive i pretty much nailed out the middle with a slight fade, and this continued with the rest of the shots. It felt like a completley diffrent club with the stiff shaft and even when i really tried to leather it it still performed really well and never turned into a big push slice which normally happend when i try to knock the paint off it.
My swing speed even slightly increased with the stiff shaft, going up from around 90mph to 95mph. My disspersion was around 13yards right. I didn't quite hit it as far as the heavier diamana regular shaft but everything else was so much better.
What was the biggest shock of all though is i compared my mizuno mx700 which i thought i hit pretty well, turned out to be the worst one on the feedback from the flightscope. Even though it has a slightly closed face, i hit this further right than the titleist which was set up with a square face.
So i've orderd the 910 D2 10.5* with a standard length diamana kai'll mid stiff shaft. Should have it in 5-7 working days and i can't wait.
