Been struggling of late with most of my game and felt I wasn't hitting it anywhere near the way I was during the summer months.... I was thinking maybe just the time of year... Or that trying some new posture angles was the culprit..... Today I had a mate who works in a local golf store check my lies and see if equipment was an issue......

Having had posture issues I'm adamant to sort them but what I wasn't aware of was how the way I stand to the ball could be dictated by a club.....

The picture you see is of my 6 iron after 5 swings on a lie board.....

Now I'm no expert on any of this stuff and I'm not going to pretend I do but could this be impacting how I set up over the ball.....

It's more likely that your posture issues is contributing to the results you see on the lie board!

Though was the lie board simply dropped onto the mat/ground? Or was it one imbedded in a mat - so properly simulating a flat lie. Th difference can be quite marked - a board simply dropped will give false 'too upright' readings because of its thickness.

No pal..... Played with them for the past 2 seasons and have managed to get from 16 to 9 with them.....

That's very good work - well done

I'm guessing you are very hunched over in your stance with your hands low ?

Can you post a pic of your stance ?

were you not patting yourself on the back only a few weeks ago on how well you were playing and getting to single figs?

your almost as bad as homer;)

Guilty pal... Which is why I'm finding it strange..... I was 12 over this morning in a medal for 33 points...

But the weird thing is I wasn't striking the ball well and scrambled for dear life my divots were fairly shallow and even.....

Can be either a hook or a push depending on what swing I decide to have on a particular day..... I'm playing in the morning so will keep an eye on any stray ones...

A hook and a push can be the same swings with a different face angle at impact. Is your grip consistent, or maybe regripping slightly at the top? Do you wear a hole in the fleshy part of your glove?
