I'm in a bit of a quandry.
Godstone is right on my door step - literally 5 minutes away - but a bit further afield are a number of other courses like Edenbridge, Chartham Park, Addington etc.
I'm looking to join a club and have played Godstone quite a bit (maybe 10 times) but I just can't bring myself to commit and I wonder if anyone else had any thoughts or reviews of it?
My problem is that Godstone is good value and local - if I join then I know I'll be more likely to play than if I join somewhere further afield, as it's so convenient to get to.
At the same time, whenever I play there I always think it's really badly maintained. This morning - on a lovely hot spring day - the greens were like the surface of the moon and everything was over-watered massively. The fairways weren't cut to a good length either - it was either like playing from the light rough all the time, or else semi-bald.
I don't know what to do - has anyone else got any advice?
