What course would you love to play above all others?

Where in Scotland are you thinking? Dornoch is a must play, took me 30 years to finally get up there but it was worth the wait. North Berwick is another, incredibly good fun.

Cape kidnappers looks...challenging :)

Would be my choice!

I really fancy the west coast but there's lots to visit/see all over the place from what I can make out. To be sensible, we'll probably break it into a few visits and I'll plan a couple of rounds each time.

Stopped playing now but I was lucky enough to play Sunningdale Old three or four times. Once on a beautiful spring early evening with only a handful of players on the course.
As an all round golfing experience I doubt if it could get any better.

Yep

a week in Ayrshire,
a week in East Lothian,
a week in Fife,
a week in Aberdeenshire,
a week around Inverness,
a week around the Dornoch Firth and
a week on the Western Islands seaboard

should just about cover it. :D

Looks perfect - I'll forward this itinerary to Mrs Chucker ;)

If it is only one course then it has to be Moray Old.

I spent some early years in Lossiemouth in the early/mid 70's and it was where I first had a lesson aged 7....though I didn't actually take the game up until some 20 years later. I used to earn some pocket money by scouring the beaches for balls washed in by the sea and selling the better ones back to the local golfers.

So I have fond memories of the place and do intend one day to make a trip up there to play.

I've also always wanted to play there - looks like I'm finally getting the chance later this year. That's probably my most anticipated golf game of the year - more so than Trump or Birkdale that are also in the offing.

For the OP, however, it's a cliche but it probably has to be Augusta, just because of its iconic status and difficulty to get on.

Ive played it twice Karen, its a really nice course, hope you get it during a dry spell as it get very wet

Would love to play Pebble, Cypress point, Augusta, but not sure it will ever happen.:(

Course in the UK I haven't played yet which I really fancy is Birkdale.

I'd love to play at Kapalua Golf, the Plantation course in Hawaii. Ever since i watched the Hyundai Tournament of Champions that's held every January.

:fore:
