Knob, knob, knob, knob!!!!!!....hybrid off the 1st for safety....7
iron off the 2nd for position......bunker......7
Drive into rough on 5, hack out, 3rd plugged in bunker, wouldn't come out, hack out.....another treble........3 trebles in the 1st 5 holes
Finished front 9 16 over and went on to shoot my highest medal round at this club
Forget what I said in another thread about playing well in the rain.......obviously I don't!!!!
No golf now until Thursday when I play my HDID 1st round knockout away at Hendon. Then playing Friday, Sat, Mon, Tue, Wed.....need to find some form quick....

Nice friendly 18 holes arranged for Lindfield this afternoon. Bit windy, but I'll play it sensibly.

Sometimes I think us amateurs can get too defensive and end up playing shots we dont normally play. If every time you go to your course you smack driver off the 1st then why change just because its a medal ?
I played the 1 st round of a club champs last year and thought i'd play 'sensibly' in this 1st round cos you can easily lose it after one round. Played a few irons off tees to keep it in play and after 5 holes I was +4
gave myself a talking too and worked out I was playing a game that I wasnt used too so went back on the offensive. Played the next 33 holes in +2 by hitting the shots I always did when playing throughout the year.
