I don't think this is about hitting a club you can't hit.

This is about playing percentage golf, all the time. This is about playing off 18, and playing to it. Boring. It'll never be any better. If you play to shoot 18 over, you will. It's easy.

Golf is meant to be fun, risk, reward. go for it a bit more, let it rip, what's the worst that can happen? No one dies.

If the corner of the dogleg is at 200yds, obviously dont hit driver.
If it's a par 3, dont hit driver.
if there's a pond/ditch/lake at 280 (230 for Smiffy), dont hit driver.

For some of us old f@rts Bob, it's got to be driver every time (and then probably a 9 iron as well).

So, where and when you can, get the big fella out and let it do what it does best.

Now, that's another subject entirely :lol: (yeh. OK. I've got a good memory )
