Weird round today... Best round at my home course!

Could not hit a mid iron or long iron to save my life, my rescue was pants as was my 5 wood. Only one par on par 3s...

Yet somehow I managed 39 points and a round of 83 to some very tricky pins! 8 pars, no birdies or better

Driving was sublime and putting, chipping and pitching were not worse than good!

At least I could hit 7 iron and lower inc wedges all well!

I blame the bare lies on a really dry and grassless course. Lets hope they grow soon!

Anyone elses courses in the same condition and struggling off the short stuff?

The weird thing was I was great out the rough with any club but only missed one fairway

Nice to shoot well and also know you have left a few out there. It's what keeps us comming back again and again.

Sounds like you will need a H/C cut for Grimsby

I played a couple of other courses as well as here recently and it seems that all have suffered this season so far following a tough winter and then a very dry spring. They need a good downpour to liven them up again.

Currently on preffered lies on the fairway and it is that way until may 1st. greens are improving all the time tough and I think will be back to their usual top notch very soon.
