Waterproof washing

The OJ jacket is 100% polyester so I'm not sure it would be totally waterproof anyway.

If I washed a pair of polyester trousers with tech wash would they become water resistant/proof ?

My gore tex trousers aren't waterproof after just perhaps 4 outings. I tried to wp again as described above to no avail. Not sure where to go after goretex......

definitely a return to manufacturer.

I have some Sunderland Goretex trousers that are over 30 years old and they are as waterproof as they day I bought them. Now used in the garden and when I wash the car ( I was a bit slimmer back then).

Subsequent Pro Quip ones equally as good.

Well ive.washed them and as advised only a short low spin, dripping when I took them out of the machine, on the line drip dryjng.
Given the forecast tomorrow, they will be needed.
