Looking for recommendations for waterproof trousers that can be worn independently and not as over trousers. At moment I've a pair of Sunderland trousers that are good but I've found with my regular golf trousers underneath it all feels very bulky amd not all together comfortable. So looking for ones that are waterproof but fleece lined or something that keeps you warm. I know there are plenty water resistant ones but I'm looking for properly waterproof. Doesn't have to be a golf brand either if there's something else out there, any recommendations welcome, thanks

What I would say is definitely try on, if I remember right the FootJoy waists are medium/large but can be a bit big fitting, and the length sizes in inches.
I’m sure mines are a bit different in size to my norm

I have the FootJoy hydroknit ones as well. £100 but worth it to not have to bother with those rubbish plasticky over-trousers.

A friend of mine users motor bike wet weather trousers......says they are great and a lot cheaper then golf ones,
I'm thinking of trying them in our winter this year.

Bought a pair of lightweight waterproofs from Mountain Warehouse for around £45 in their 'never ending' sale.
I don't play golf any more but these OT are very good, nice fit and easy to get into [important at my age]
Tested well for waterproofing on dog walks.

I was in MW recently and looked at their waterproof trousers, but they mostly seemed to have additional pockets on, so probably be deemed cargo pants and disallowed by a lot of golf courses.

I've nailed my colours to the mast previously regarding dress codes but the one not allowing cargo trousers or shorts really does make me scratch my head. Golfers and pockets go together.
