A few exercises from my physio--
Lie on the bench in the locker room-knees bent and together and then move the knees to the ground right and left for a count of 20-repeat three times
second in same position bring the knees up to the chest and hold for 5 secs-repeat 5 times.
On the tee warm up the shoulders by swinging the shoulders like a windmill.
Next lock your hands together in front of your body and stretch them above your head, after a couple of stretches continue the stretch and thenpivot with your hands stretch overhead.
Then take a club hold the club with the head in one hand and the grip in the other and pivot the body left and right slowly and build up gradually.
Next hold the club overhead in same way and stretch the body by tilting to either side.
Then take a club and make a few slow half swings and gradually build up to a full swing.
For those with a suspect back these exercises can be performed every day in the confines of your home to strengthen the muscles.
You can also perform these exercises during the round as you are waiting on the tee or fairway to hit a shot--the exercises keep the muscles warm and active and should help reduce injury.
