I'm on a budget to re-shaft my driver in an effort to bring the launch angle down. I'm looking for a prolaunch red or similar low launch/spin driver shaft in a regular 60-75g weight. If anybody has one lying about or knows of any pro-shops who may have them on offer please let me know.

Thanks,
Dave

What about an aldila NV 65 or 75. Should be fairly low spin with a low-mid launch angle and can be picked up for £25 from Ebay.

Craw.

I've checked the spec and the regular on offer at gamol is either the fairway version or the made for manufacurers version which is higher launching than the original.

Stu

The NV will be my second choice in 75g.

Beachgolfer

As far as I am aware the prolite is a high launch shaft which is the last thing I need but thanks for the offer.

Moogie thanks for the offer of the NV and the recommendation of the original Grafalloy Blue which I really hadn't considered and have now ordered from Amazon, (Scottsdale Golf £19.99). At £45 for the shaft, Razr fit adaptor and grip, the jobs a good one

Thanks,
Dave

Smithy.

The popular pro-launch blue fitted to many OEM clubs, is a high launch shaft however the original Grafalloy Blue is a different beast altogether with mid to high kick point and stiff tip section. It's not to far off the spec of the pro-launch red and plays very firm to flex and is still used on tour by the likes of Quiros despite the 8 or 9 year old technology.

My bad
:o

Glad you got it sorted.

I've just rechecked the spec and it is described as mid-launch however the regular shaft has a recommended SS 90-100 mph, which is high when compared to most regular shafts. According to some reviews it is very comparable to the NV 75g but stiffer in flex which may account for the penetrating trajectory.

Does indeed! The 'S' was always too stout for me.

Quiros has an X Flex, and a strong one at that.
