My mate has just started to play the game and I'm on the look out for some second hand irons for him. AG have some second hand G5's for £65 that he may go for but I thought I'd see what you lot have.

Up to £100

No I only had a quick look with him in AG and only noticed one G5 badge missing on one of the irons but that was it, I wasn't sure of the going price till I looked on ebay.

I have Cleveland CG16 for sale for 120 with a 3 hybrid thrown in for free. These would do him for a good few years.

A set of pings fr 65 is seriously good value though.

I've just spoke to him and advised him to go for the G5's which I think he is going to do tommorow. I'm unsure of how Ping irons work ie the dot system. What should I look out for. Bear in mind he played his first ever pitch and putt today so is very new to the game.

that explains the various dots, you can do a static fitting on the ping site to get a rough guide

That badge is also the swing weight port. Just send it back to Ping and they'll replace it free of charge. Also if the lie code is wrong Ping can alter these as well.

I have a set of Taylor Made RAC OS which are around 8 years old, 3-PW and I'll sell for £50 plus postage if interested.

Excellent beginners irons.
